When the Apollo Mission first went to the moon and beamed back images of a small blue planet surrounded by an infinite blackness rising over the moonscape, we realized for the first time that we shared a small blue marble with limited resources. Consequently, ecological sustainability has emerged as a choice that individuals and businesses must make if we are to hand over leadership of the place we call “home” to future generations. What was once viewed as a fringe movement has become a financial and moral imperative. Lane Gorman Trubitt’s mission is to ensure not only the financial security of our clients and employees, but to conduct ourselves in a professional manner with quality, integrity and reliability. This extends to our planet as well and the impact each of us has on our immediate environment. Paperless Document System – In early 2006, LGT made the switch to a paperless work environment. Utilizing Go File Room (trademark?), the Firm is able to scan and encrypt all work-related documents, thus maximizing the security of our clients’ sensitive financial information while minimizing the amount of paper consumed and thus the impact on the environment.
Electronic Web Portals – By offering clients and vendors a safe and secure portal on our corporate website, LGT has opened the door to accessing documents electronically and at their convenience. The additional upside is the elimination of the need to mail physical copies.
Communication Goes Virtual – Don’t be offended if we ask you for your email address, it’s our way of saying “thank-you” for thinking about the environment. Clients, friends and associates all know that LGT will not sell or give their information to anyone else. But, we will use it to send electronic newsletters, updates, annual tax planning guides, and a wealth of other tips and financial ideas that you will find useful for your business and personal life. (If you still insist on receiving hard copies via snail mail; rest assured. We will still like you!).
Recycled Office Supplies – We make every effort to purchase environmentally friendly or recycled office materials including paper, pens and light bulbs, sometimes at a greater expense than non-recycled. In addition, supplies used in the kitchen and break room such as knives, spoons and cups are either washed and reused, or discarded and recycled.
