LGT's Not-for-profit Breakfast

2009 proved to be a great year for LGT’s Not-for-profit Group as we rolled out our resoundingly successful Not-For-Profit CPE Breakfast. These events have proven to be a great way to network and to satisfy CPE for your staff affordably. Parking is complimentary with restaurant validation.  A Breakfast Menu with multiple offerings will be served.Two hours of CPE credit will be provided. Participants will be able to understand the reporting and disclosure requirements of the standard Accounting for Uncertainty in Income Taxes and how to implement the standard for their organizations. Topics covered in LGT's NFP Breakfast include:

·        Revised Form 990 – Schedule O

·        FIN 48: How it Relates to Your Mission

The Lane Gorman Trubitt Not For Profit Group hosted a breakfast seminar on November 12, 2009. Held at the LGT offices in Uptown, the free seminar highlighted Presentations which covered topics as wide-ranging as SAS 115, Electronic Marketing and Pertinent HR Issues. DFW’s Premier Construction Industry CPE November 5-6, 2009    I    LGT Uptown Dallas Office  

The trusted advisors at LGT’s Construction Niche were pleased to offer this invaluable training focused on accounting for this specialized industry to all of our construction industry clients and friends. The course provided participants with 16 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit spread out over two days. On the first day our guest speaker covered Financial Accounting and Job Costing Issues; while the second was dedicated to Tax Related Issues. Breakfast and lunch was provided for all attendees at no additional cost. Automotive & Transportation Group Controllers' Roundtable October 22-23, 2009   I     Hilton Fort Worth  

The LGT Automotive and Transportation Group organized a two-day seminar for dealership and transportation controllers across the Southwest. At this event, guest speakers presented the very latest on financial issues that faced the automotive industry at that time. Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit was awarded to attendees. State & Local Tax, Texas Legislative Update May 20, 2009   I   Cityplace Conference Center Dallas

On May 20, 2009 LGT held its Spring SALT Forum. Featuring speaker Dale Craymer, Chief Economist for the Texas Taxpayers and Research Association, the event was a resounding success. Dale provided the attendees with valuable insights into the intricacies of many of the new tax laws currently being debated and voted upon in the state legislature.
